“Journal of Movements’’ starts in year 2003, and represents a chronicle of that period, a subjective experience of the key moments. It can be described as separate movie frames or animation, a scene from a comic book about everyday life of me and my friends – which is pulled through peculiar filter, and than transferred with acrylic or oil on canvas.
To the observer, paintings’ perspective suggests insight into the space and intimacy, at the same time creating a document and a personal confession.
Although amused in their activities, unaware that they are to become part of the painting, attendees are as if they are posing in a frozen moment.
Painting cycle does not have defined number of paintings, it is expanding and is being enriched through the journey. Painting formation does not follow the chronology of events, due to subsequent reminiscences.
